Brown has called for a formal probe into the Red Bull-AlphaTauri F1 alliance over suspicions it enables concealed car development boosting Red Bull's on-track dominance.

On the heels of Red Bull clinching yet another constructors' championship in Formula 1, fresh controversy has erupted around the team's close ties with sister outfit AlphaTauri and whether sporting equity is being compromised.

McLaren CEO Zak Brown is spearheading calls for a formal investigation into the partnership he believes affords Red Bull unfair advantages.

"We need full transparency over any resource sharing between these teams and its impact on car development," Brown stated in an exclusive interview, pointing to AlphaTauri's aggressive in-season upgrades propelling them from 10th to 8th in the standings.

"The association allows Red Bull to potentially stretch testing restrictions and boost on-track performance."

While F1 authorities have cleared both teams of rule breaches thus far, Brown insists the scrutiny has been inadequate.

"The FIA needs to dig deeper - we've seen AlphaTauri make gains in the very areas Red Bull has struggled. It cannot be coincidence. There are still far more questions than answers around this alliance."

Red Bull principal Christian Horner maintains operations are fully compliant and independent.

But for an increasingly suspicious Brown, only a full investigation can confirm if the partnership distorts competitiveness through undisclosed technical pooling.

"We must guarantee all F1 teams operate on a level playing field. If not addressed, these lingering doubts over Red Bull-AlphaTauri could severely damage sporting integrity.

"The FIA must take my concerns seriously if they truly value equitable competition."
