Williams Unveils 2023 Livery and announces new sponsor

Williams Racing will give its all in 2023 as the team prepares to take the track with the new and improved physical Williams FW45 car.

The team confirmed that they have heavily evolved the sidepod concept and optimized the power unit cooling layout, which will allow for better aerodynamics compared to its predecessor, the FW44.

The livery of the FW45 confirms the team's long-anticipated partnership with Gulf Oil, with its logos featuring prominently on the car's dark blue and black matte finish color scheme.

The design also incorporates lighter blue and orange hues to represent Gulf and fellow sponsor Duracell.

The team will also be joined by new partners as they take on the 2023 season with a new livery. The new Team Principal, James Vowles, will join the team later this month, adding to the excitement surrounding the upcoming season.

Driver Alex Albon, one of the standout performers in 2022, is looking forward to seeing what the FW45 can do.

“The team has worked really hard last year and over the winter to address some key areas in our car, putting in the work to try and maximize what we get out of the car for 2023, so I’m looking forward to seeing what the FW45 can do," Albon said.

Logan Sargeant, the American driver who was fast-tracked into the second Williams seat, is also excited for the season to get started.

Sargeant is set to be the first American to compete in F1 since Alexander Rossi in 2015, and he is motivated to show what he is capable of.

“The car is looking amazing and it shows the huge effort the team has put in the off-season, so I’m looking forward to getting started at Silverstone before heading out to Bahrain," Sargeant said.

The team's Chairman of the Board, Matthew Savage, is proud to unveil this year's livery and is grateful for the hard work of the team at Grove.
