Early season dominance

What began as a seemingly straightforward march to the title, with Verstappen claiming seven victories from the opening ten rounds, evolved into a much more complex challenge as the season progressed.

The narrative shifted dramatically when McLaren's Lando Norris, fresh from his breakthrough Miami victory, emerged as a serious contender following the summer break.

Technical challenges test Red Bull's resolve

The latter half of the season saw Red Bull grappling with balance issues that threatened their grip on both championships.

"It's been a long season, and of course we started off amazing – it was almost like cruising, but then we had a tough run,"

Verstappen reflected after securing the title.

"But as a team, we kept it together. We kept working on improvements, and we pulled it over the line."

Personal growth amid pressure

The journey to his fourth title has been particularly meaningful for Verstappen, who admits the challenges extended beyond the technical aspects.

"It was a very challenging season. I think also as a person, at times, it's very challenging and I had to be calm,"

he acknowledged. Despite the difficulties, or perhaps because of them, Verstappen views this season's triumph as especially significant.

Looking ahead to new challenges

While celebrating his achievement, Verstappen remains focused on the future.

The champion anticipates an even more competitive field in the coming season, suggesting that 2025 could see "a proper battle between a lot of cars."

This forward-thinking mindset exemplifies the hunger that has driven him to four consecutive titles.

The newly-crowned champion paid tribute to both his supporters and the Red Bull team, acknowledging that fans might have been "spoiled" by his dominance in 2023.

"To the team, what can I say? We have been through a lot together and all these highs that we are achieving right now – it is just very special to do that with all the group of people that we have here at the track and back at the factory,"

he stated.

With two races remaining in the season, Verstappen's competitive spirit remains undimmed.

"I'm going to enjoy this, but there are still two more races that I want to do well at,"

he declared, before adding that after a brief break, the focus will shift to the challenges ahead in 2025.
