In a recent interview with The Times, Toto Wolff, the Mercedes team principal, fiercely criticized his Formula 1 rival Christian Horner, the Red Bull team principal.

Wolff stated, "Every second that I spend on talking about him is a waste of time in my life." He went on to claim that Horner is "obsessed" and that he is "living in his head rent-free."

This is not the first time the two team principals have engaged in a public feud. Their rivalry reached a boiling point during the 2021 season as Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen fought for the drivers' title.

The tension between the two teams was palpable both on and off the track, with Wolff and Horner regularly exchanging jabs.

However, the rivalry between Mercedes and Red Bull took a backseat during the 2022 season as Red Bull dominated the campaign and Mercedes struggled to keep up. But Wolff's latest attack on Horner has reignited their feud just in time for the upcoming season.

In October 2022, Horner took a thinly veiled swipe at Wolff, referencing a moment of anger he displayed during the height of the 2021 battle when he threw his headphones down on the table.

Horner quipped, "I think the Brits are quite good at that, keeping a stiff upper lip, head down and get on with it."

Despite the constant bickering with Horner, Wolff emphasized that he still finds joy in Formula 1, "I have great moments in F1. I love the team, I love the challenge. But what I really love is my family. I have three children, who are 21, 18, and five years old."

"Having the family together is what gives me the greatest enjoyment. And with my wife [Susie] I have found the perfect partner. My wife can drive cars faster than I. But that is the least of her attributes. We are total soulmates."
