Stake F1 team unveils new Identity
Stake F1 Team unveils a new identity and vision under cryptocurrency platform Stake ahead of the 2024 F1 season.
The Switzerland-based Formula 1 outfit formerly known as Alfa Romeo has rebranded itself as Stake F1 Team ahead of the 2024 season.
While its full official name remains Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber, incorporating chassis partner Kick Sauber, the team will utilize its short form for branding and marketing purposes.
The rebrand comes on the heels of cryptocurrency platform Stake's takeover as the team's title sponsor after Alfa Romeo ended its naming rights deal last year.
Stake originally came onboard in a secondary capacity for 2022, with its logo featuring on the car's bodywork several times over the season.
However, Stake F1 Team representative Alessandro Alunni Bravi has indicated that 2024 heralds the start of an exciting new chapter.
At the rebranded team's London launch event on February 5th, where the new C44 challenger will also be revealed, Bravi said, "2024 will be a new page and the chance to do more, better, and reach even farther."
Elaborating on Stake's future vision, Bravi explained, "Last season represented the start of Stake's journey in F1, and the brand's new role headlining Stake F1 Team represents the natural and exciting next step."
He added that Stake had already "successfully tapped into F1's growing fan base" in 2022 through activations with ambassadors like Sergio Aguero.
Stake co-founder Edward Craven echoed this sentiment, saying, "We are now ideally positioned to take the team to unprecedented heights from 2024 and beyond."
Craven hinted at "mind-blowing activations planned that will redefine excitement on and off the track," pointing towards an emphasis on merging crypto innovation with F1's high-octane appeal.
New team identity and livery
Accompanying the naming announcement, Stake F1 Team revealed its new logo which prominently incorporates the Stake name against a background that gradients from black to fuchsia.
The contemporary, digital-friendly logo represents a major shift from the classic Alfa Romeo shield imagery.
While the team is yet to showcase its 2024 livery, the rebrand points to a predominantly black and fuchsia color scheme in the future.
Last year, Stake served as title sponsor for one-off races in Belgium and Qatar where special liveries were run.
2024 car launch
Stake F1 Team has built anticipation for the launch of its 2024 challenger, the new C44, on February 5th in London.
With the team still developing its all-new identity, the livery reveal promises to give the first concrete look at its stylistic reimagination.
Beyond the surface-level changes, the extent of any restructuring and personnel updates remain unclear.
Nevertheless, Stake F1 Team heads into 2024 with the backing of an ambitious principal partner ready to shake up the status quo.
