Max Verstappen tops Saudi Arabian GP FP1-Results
Red Bull's Max Verstappen set the pace in the first practice session for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
The reigning world champion posted a best lap of 1:29.659 seconds around the Jeddah Circuit.
Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso was second quickest, just 0.141 seconds behind Verstappen. Sergio Perez made it two Red Bulls in the top three.
Mercedes' George Russell was fourth fastest ahead of the Ferrari duo of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz in fifth and sixth respectively.
Lando Norris was the quicker of the McLaren drivers in seventh, edging out Lewis Hamilton in eighth. Lance Stroll and Alex Albon rounded out the top ten order.
The opening practice ran smoothly with no major incidents or stoppages under the lights in Jeddah.
