Leclerc claims Pole as Verstappen's lap Is deleted at USGP

The first qualifying session saw a competitive battle amongst the midfield teams, with Nico Hülkenberg briefly topping the timesheets for Haas.
Ultimately the usual suspects of Verstappen, Leclerc and Sainz progressed safely through to Q2.
The Aston Martins of Stroll and Vettel along with the Williams cars of Albon and Sargeant were eliminated. Sargeant failed to set a time after abandoning his sole flying lap.
Q2 Recap
The second session saw a tight scrap to make it into the top 10 shootout. Leclerc set the pace on fresh softs with a 1:35.004, three tenths clear of Sainz.
Lando Norris had his first lap deleted but recovered to go fourth quickest.
Daniel Ricciardo, Kevin Magnussen and Guanyu Zhou were knocked out, with Sergio Perez scraping through in P10.
Q3 Recap
In the final session, Leclerc and Verstappen traded blows in the fight for pole position.
Verstappen initially looked to have clinched it by a slim 0.005s margin before having his time deleted for exceeding track limits.
This handed Leclerc his second pole of the season, with Lando Norris joining him on the front row in P2.
Hamilton qualified an impressive P3 ahead of Sainz, while Verstappen will have to recover from P6.
Overall, an entertaining qualifying session with a shock deletion of Verstappen's pole lap adding late drama.
Leclerc secured a crucial pole for Ferrari in their constructors' battle with Mercedes.
However, Red Bull still holds the advantage for the race with Verstappen and Perez primed to charge through the field. An exciting grand prix awaits.
