In the wake of the devastating floods in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy, which led to the cancellation of the 2023 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Ferrari has stepped in with a significant donation.

Ferrari has committed €1 million to support the region's recovery efforts.

The FIA, F1 organisers, and race authorities made the decision to cancel the weekend's race due to safety concerns and the potential strain on local emergency services.

Essential personnel were then tasked with moving the necessary equipment from the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit to Monaco for the race scheduled for May 26-28.

Ferrari, based in Maranello, an hour from the circuit, has directed its donation to the Emilia-Romagna Region's Agency for Territorial Safety and Civil Protection.

The funds are intended to help the local population, particularly focusing on environmental recovery and the management of hydrogeological instability.

"In times of difficulty, Ferrari has always stood by its community. We wanted to provide a concrete and immediate response to the most urgent needs of the population of Emilia-Romagna, which has been tried by a serious environmental disaster," Vigna stated.

He further expressed his gratitude towards the local authorities for their ongoing work, "With the coordination of the local authorities, this aid will bring comfort and a tangible sign of the solidarity of the entire Ferrari family."
