Ferrari and American technology giant HP have signed a long-term title sponsorship deal, renaming the official team to Scuderia Ferrari HP in what has been called a "multi-year" deal.

The distinctive blue HP logo will feature on Ferrari's F1 livery from next week's Miami Grand Prix onwards, as well as on its team kit and overalls.

The iconic Italian manufacturer will forgo its traditional red color scheme in favor of two shades of blue from its storied racing heritage, Azzurro La Plata and Azzurro Dino.

"Our founder passed on to us his continuous will to progress. From this stems our drive to innovate on the road and on the track, as well as our commitment to a sustainable future, from carbon neutrality to the education of the younger generation," said Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna.

"In HP we have found the same values, which make it an ideal partner. We look forward to starting our collaboration and facing new opportunities and challenges together."
"HP CEO Enrique Lores added, "With technology, performance and exceptional craftsmanship fuelling the future, the partnership between HP and Ferrari is a natural fit. Both brands are built on rich histories that have endured the test of time."

"Through this unique collaboration, we also have an opportunity to reach new audiences, drive business growth, and create lasting impact for our shared clients and communities."

The livery change is a nod to Ferrari's long-standing presence in the American motorsport scene.

The lighter of the two blue shades, Azzurro La Plata, carries significant historical significance as the national racing color of Argentina and a similar hue to that worn by two-time Formula 1 world champion Alberto Ascari.

The darker Azzurro Dino shade also holds a special place in Ferrari's history, last seen in 1974 on the overalls of Clay Regazzoni.

While an official launch date has yet to be announced, the special livery is set to make its debut in Miami during the race weekend.

The unveiling will be part of an extensive series of events celebrating the Prancing Horse, culminating at the Miami Grand Prix, where a pair of blue 296 GTSs will lead a parade of Ferrari machinery around the track.

This isn't the first time Ferrari has deviated from its traditional red livery. In 2022, the team ran a special yellow design at the Italian Grand Prix, paying tribute to the Le Mans 24 Hours-winning 499P, while a burgundy look was unveiled at the 2020 Tuscan Grand Prix to celebrate the team's 1000th race.
