Fernando Alonso takes top spot again, leaving Red Bull playing catch-up in Bahrain's FP3
Fernando Alonso was once again the fastest driver in the final practice session for the Bahrain Grand Prix, narrowly edging out Max Verstappen by just 0.005 seconds. The impressive pace of Alonso puts him in a strong position for qualifying, but Red Bull is yet to show their full potential.
Fernando Alonso's sensational form continued as he edged out Max Verstappen by a mere 0.005s in the final practice session ahead of the Bahrain Grand Prix.
The duo set their fastest times on the Soft compound tyre in the dying moments of the session, with Verstappen losing precious time to the flying Spaniard in the final sector.
Red Bull's Sergio Perez secured the third-fastest time, while seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton finished in fourth place.
Despite possibly holding back some of the power of his Ferrari, Charles Leclerc still managed to impress by securing fifth place.
