Australian GP FP2 Results
Charles Leclerc leads FP2 at Australian GP, Verstappen 2nd. Mixed session for Mercedes as Russell takes 6th, Hamilton 18th. Piastri impresses in 7th at home race.
Ferrari's Charles Leclerc set the pace in the second free practice session for the Australian Grand Prix, clocking a 1:17.277.
Red Bull's Max Verstappen was second, 0.381s behind, with Carlos Sainz third in the other Ferrari, 0.430s off the pace.
Aston Martin's Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso were fourth and fifth, while Mercedes had a mixed session, with George Russell sixth and Lewis Hamilton 18th.
Local driver Oscar Piastri impressed in seventh for McLaren, ahead of Sergio Perez, Lando Norris, and Yuki Tsunoda.
Williams' Alex Albon did not participate in the session due to damage sustained to his car in FP1.
The teams will now focus on preparing for Saturday's crucial qualifying session.\
