Aiming high for home race

Despite Red Bull's seven-race winning streak this season, spearheaded by Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, Lawrence Stroll remains confident of his team's performance.

Stroll shared his ambitious aspirations in New York, saying, "Hopefully get two cars on the podium."

Confidence is high at Aston Martin, bolstered by Stroll's belief that the Montreal circuit suits their car well.

Mercedes outpaced Aston Martin, who uses their engines, for the second spot overall after the Spanish Grand Prix.

Higher tyre wear presented a hurdle for Stroll and Alonso, landing them sixth and seventh in the rankings.

However, optimism persists at Aston Martin as they navigate these trials. Stroll mentioned that the team is working on solutions and upgrades for Canada.

Lance Stroll's performance in Barcelona signals growing comfort with the car, leading Lawrence Stroll to suggest the two drivers will be on par by season's end.

Alonso's Influence

Alonso's continued enthusiasm and motivation at 41 was highlighted by Stroll, underscoring his vital role in mentoring 24-year-old Lance.

Despite speculation about Alonso's future as Aston Martin plans a new engine partnership with Honda in 2026, Stroll isn't ruling out the possibility of the Spaniard's continued involvement.

"Probably a little long to see him around in '26 but never say never," Stroll said.

Canada Upgrades

Lawrence Stroll stated "I believe we are bringing solutions to those and some upgrades into Canada."

This optimism is backed by Team Principal Mike Krack, who reassured that significant upgrades are imminent, saying, "There will be something coming in Canada. It will be a step."
