History

Haas F1 Team is an American Formula 1 team that made its debut in the 2016 season.

Haas has a strong partnership with Ferrari using their engines, suspension, gearbox, and other equipment.

Haas is based in the United States and was founded by businessman Gene Haas. The team's first season saw impressive results, finishing in 8th place in the Constructors' Championship.

In 2017, Haas repeated their 8th-place finish, and improved to 5th place in 2018, with their best result of 4th place achieved by driver Romain Grosjean at the Austrian Grand Prix.

Haas struggled in 2019, with the VF-19 car unable to handle the new Pirelli tires and resulting in only seven top-ten finishes and a 9th-place finish in the Constructors' Championship.

The team's internal tensions between Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen also contributed to their struggles.

After the departure of both drivers, Haas confirmed an all-rookie lineup for 2021 consisting of Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin, with tensions rising between the two drivers.

In 2022, Haas opted to not develop their 2021 car and instead focus on the regulation reset for the upcoming season.

However, just before the season started, Haas dropped Mazepin and sponsor Uralkali and brought back Magnussen.

The Dane's comeback resulted in a 5th-place finish in the opening race, marking the team's best result since the 2018 Austrian Grand Prix. Haas improved on their 2021 result, finishing in 8th place in the Constructors' Championship.

For 2023, Haas opted to bring in experienced driver Nico Hulkenberg to replace Schumacher.

The team's history in Formula 1 has seen both highs and lows, with early success followed by struggles and internal tensions.
